Spring, summer, fall, and winter, The White Horse Inn Bed and Breakfast of Mammoth Lakes ensures its guests a memorable, enjoyable stay. Located in the Old Mammoth section of our town, we offer a classy, homey, relaxed atmosphere that is just a few minutes away from the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area (the mountain bike park in summertime), the shops and restaurants of the commercial district, and surrounded by the beautiful mountain environment which make this region such a popular year-round destination resort. Nestled in the stands of Lodgepole and Jeffrey Pines, Red and White Firs, and the Aspen trees of the rural Old Mammoth section of town, our woodsy location shelters our guests from the hustle and bustle of the commercial section of town, though only a mile and a half distant. Many of our guests set off on their hikes, bike rides, and other outings, from the front door. If your interests take you to our shops, Mammoth Lakes' variety of retailers, restaurants, outlet stores, sports centers, theatres, and rental facilities will supply all of your needs, whether your stay is for a weekend, or a month. For our winter guests, little needs to be said about the world class conditions. The Mammoth Mountain Ski Area draws winter sports fans from all over the globe. Our Inn is located 2.2 miles by road from the closest ski lifts, the Eagle Express chairlift at Juniper Ridge. Some of our guests choose to walk there; just over one-quarter mile by foot. We are a small, traditional bed & breakfast; a spacious, converted three-story residential structure with five bedrooms, lots of common areas, and decks located for basking in the sun, or for resting in the shade of our surrounding trees--here you will find the warm, engaging charm of staying with friends in their home, as you will be... As part of your stay with us, a full breakfast is prepared for you each morning. We'll serve a fruit compote, with vanilla yogurt, muffins, buns, or pastries. We typically alternate between an egg-based, or a grain-based entre, such as omelets, frittata, or waffles, pancakes, or french toast. We receive lots of compliments for our breakfasts.
